Entity formation timeline

At Avatar Legal, forming a California entity takes approximately two weeks.  We use a service to file your articles over-the-counter with the Secretary of State, it then takes the state about one week to return the filed document to us.  After we receive these documents, we obtain your company's EIN and you can open a checking account in the business name.  We then complete drafting your Bylaws or Operating agreement and take care of the other formation documents.  You will receive the final version of these documents approximately one week later.
